Shattered hearts become footstools of tomorrow,
For people such as you and me,
and for every tear we have cried are past steps of sorrow,
as we build new dreams for the naysayers to see,
I call it, a boomerang love,
built-in impossible odds,
enemies be damned, no more thought of,
we alone, get to make this call,
It is world knowledge about what is set free,
and if it returns to the one,
boomerang love is there for all to see,
what a miracle which has been done,
It takes a little faith in happy endings,
and an unwavering amount of desire,
a will of never bending,
and long-lasting kindling fire.
