A poem for Valentine

Happy Valentines baby,
when the shadows fall I will hold you,
how can I forget you,
and what you do to me.

I was made to love you.
Made to make love to you.
And to be free next to your skin,
and be your next of kin.

If we ever go to Mississippi,
and you give me a kiss,
I ‘ll tell the river,
my secrets to heal.

Loneliness is a ballroom full of scared dancers.
Endless is my time and my tears,
and my scars,
and I am looking for new forms of poetry.

A scarecrow is lovely for it fits its purpose,
the sun shines,
the moon rises,
and you are my Valentine.
