In The Turmoil of Our Love

In the turmoil of our love,
sits many unfulfilled dreams,
numerous to think of,
and hard to reach for it seems,
My heart has felt every blow and sting,
from missing you, my everything,
tears that have stained my pillow too,
of simply wanting to be with you,
I think of how different our lives are now,
and yet, if you could pull yourself together somehow,
I think forgiveness would allow  for healing to take place,
from my and your mistakes,
and we would not be a statistic labeled in the world,
or devoured by evil-said words,
we could find wholeness once again,
and be us instead of in pain.
