His Only Goal is Love

The train is waiting just outside;
It’s sitting on the tracks.
It’s calm and sunny where I live
But still there are attacks.

The wicked have no rest!
And they are always filled with rage.
I wonder do they know the part
They play on this great stage.

They wait in ambush for the righteous
And set for them a trap.
But when they don’t fall into it,
Their strangle hold is snapped.

The snare that they laid for them
Then springs back upon their neck
And they cannot release it;
It’s the Word that they reject!

So, when you fight against me,
Know I’m not the only One!
The One who sent me watches too;
His battles always won!

He bends His bow and draws His sword
To protect the ones, He loves!
You cannot fight against the One
Whose only goal is love!

Who are your enemies;
Who are your friends?
There’s so many in the world
That only just pretend!

If they were given a chance,
Would they die for You?
These are Your friends;
And I only know a few!
