Reality From Vision

I could lie awake for hours just imagining your face
And will with all my might for a different time and place
Bail this tortured heart out of its own prison
Make a break, go for broke, create reality from vision.

You could sit beside me hypnotize me with your voice
Everything you say or do realize I have no choice
Like the flow and ebb of tides I will wash upon your shore
Until I’m swept back out again and ache and want for more.

Night brings no relief as you infiltrate my dreams
Hold my mind and body captive ‘till I’m bursting at the seams
Though no negotiator could ever strike a deal
For I’m a willing hostage the way you make me feel.

So I lie awake for hours just imagining your face
And will with all my might for a different time and place
I’ve failed in my attempts to break this heart out of its prison
Still hoping to create reality from vision.

I can feel the heat and passion in your words, and actually envision a song with a strong drum/base beat. The repeat at the end works well here. Great job!

I language used here to convey your longing I find truly beautiful, that I found has stuck with me since I have read it and I enjoy how your message is direct, the cadence flows naturally and the length is just right, a very elegant piece! Keep up the good work!
