My Mum

My Mum is the most amazing woman in the world,
She gave birth to 4 boys and a girl.
She is selfless in all that she does,
Putting us first, not making a fuss.
She worked so hard to give us what we needed,
Always the strong, never conceded.
Whenever you need a shoulder to cry on,
She is always there, she can be relied on.
To stand up for you when somethings not right,
Her first reaction is fight not flight.
She always taught us how to look after ourselves,
Cooking, washing and dusting the shelves.
Respect and manners were always upheld,
Great traits passed on to my kids as well.
My life would not be the way that it is,
Without this education, I'm sure of this.
So I thank the God's for my beautiful Mum,
And am so proud to be called her Son.
Each and every day she is here with me,
In all that I do and in all that I see.
I'm so grateful for my Mum and the life lessons she provided,
Even if I was not always excited.
They made me the Man I have grown to be,
I love my Mum with all that is me.
