All Aboard

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Some people just get in the door
Some people lose it on the floor
You’re dancing on the train of life
Free from malice; free from strife

The tickets for this trip are free
But everyone gets in through Me
Your suffering; the price to dance
Yet everybody wants a chance

But many will be left behind
The way of life they could not find
For them the dance is over now
They didn’t know the way to town

They missed the train and lost their place
So now they’ll never see My face
I couldn’t shed a tear for them
They never really were my friends

My name is Jesus; I’m the Christ
And no one will offend me twice
The first time I’ll erase your name
The second time its off the train

And you won’t get back on again
My train is only for my friends!
