Float Us

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

I hear the tumult of the raging seas
As your waves and tides sweep over me.

You call to me; you part the clouds.
You drive me on when you come down.

When I am lifted in your hands
I’m seated with the Son of Man.

The future is revealed to me
You gave me eyes LORD. Now I see!

The world turns its back to you
But I’ll obey; I’ll see it through.

I will be wise. I will win souls!
But foolish men eat from pink bowls.
