You

You are a warm book, who’s every word, every paragraph on every page is worth the read. I am lost in between the chapters of your heart. A bibliophile searching through the scaffolds of your soul.

I am a walking representation of defeat, carrying every part of me in a box. My library is empty, yet you don’t hesitate to read the one book on my shelf… over and over, not missing a word. I may not be perfect, but you do not care, I may do things and not realise but you are patient, I may be hesitant sometimes but you understand.

As I turn the page to read my chapter in your book, I hope it is one that never ends.
Thank you.

IfBatManWasHappy

I am not exactly a poet or gifted in the English language as a matter of fact. I think this is reflected in the lack of “authentic poetry styles” I can write in. I just enjoy writing spoken word-Ish structureless paragraphs hahaha, and I hope you can enjoy them too :). more…
