My son-shine

JOHN ALLEN SKINNER 1971 (Fort Worth)

Morning mist overnight I’ve Become Waiting patiently to see my son
I know he’s coming as stars began to fade Grey clouds turn white and trees give birth to shade
Birds began singing as flowers open their eyes I began to smile as I see my son rise He’s taken his time yet he’s on his way Making sure to touch everything with a bit of sun ray
Night began to fall on such a beautiful day An oasis you’ve become but o how I wish you could stay
I know you're tired, sleepy, and yawning We’ll call it a day goodnight son I love you I’ll see you in the morning
