Somewhere

Somewhere a candle burns,
Wafting scents among the breeze
Sweet fragrance fills the air.

Somewhere a song is sung
Leaving the listeners
With sorrow in their hearts.

Somewhere children play
Laughter fills the air
As they ply hide and seek.

Somewhere a child is born
The baby cries
The mother rejoices.

Somewhere the rain falls
Upon the dry and cracked earth
Giving it much needed life.

Somewhere in someone’s dreams
There is peace and happiness
All over the world.

Somewhere I am dreaming
Of a life full of happiness
One without tears, without bruises
Without pain, full of love
And less hate.

Somewhere, someday
Will it ever come?
Someday, maybe soon.
