Eternal Friend

I picked up my BIBLE today, to read Gods word. I read about a saviours birth, tell me, have you ever heard?
About a man who heald the deaf, and helped the blind to see, he even helped the cripples walk and helped the mute to speak.
He walked on water, calmed the seas and made the winds be still, he even feed five thousand people and they all were filled.
I read about a powerful man, named Jesus, king of jews. He walked upon this guilty sod, to save sinners, like me and you.
Jesus walked through all the earth, and preached from town to town, and if you ever need a friend, he'd never let you down.
He said he was the son of God, and this he did proclaim. But all the jews that heard this said, " this man must be insane."
"I know what we'll do," they said, "we'll put this man to death." So they made a crown of thorns, and placed it on his head.
They spat at him and called him names and nailed him to a tree, but, they never took his life from him, it just was meant to be.
You see, when God sent his only son to earth, he knew what was to come. He built the only bridge to God, through Jesus Christ, his son.
So don't get this poem wrong, my friend. Just because he hung that way. Doesn't mean that he is dead, our savior lives today.
And if we choose to follow him, and keep his words within, we will have eternal life, with Chris Jesus, our eternal friend.
