Analysis of Free

Give me the strength to live
When I am alone in the cliff
Facing the cold gale
Afflicting a depression that assails
And makes me want to die
When I am too stern to cry
For the treasures I lost
Have no definite cost
For they are rare to find
Showing that He is kind
Which I carelessly dropped
Just when I reached the top
So now I feel alone
A chilling shiver down my bones
Propelling me to think
So I would start to sink
As much as I have climbed
And it's a matter of time
When my tired legs slip
So I want to get a grip
So now I am searching the wall
For the holds however small
Made by what I feel
Things that I kept sealed
While I climbed passionately
I am setting them free
My lust for the things
Made me rejoiced and sing
The same old songs
And it's been so long
Since I have heard them again
I wonder why I abstained
For they could cool my head
By showing a way ahead
