Tenacity

A momentary rest
After a perilous test
Of facing the plunging waves
And come out sane and safe
To face them again
In a solitary jail
But I don't know why
I still want to try
Till I lose my life
When the end is nowhere in sight
And it's easier to give up the fight
And die a forgotten death
When there is no one left
Who would reminisce me
With a sad smile and become happy
So let's drown in a great depth
With no sign that would manifest
The traces of a pitiful life
Although there is a hope to rise
If I face the ensuing waves
And be curious if the waves will take
To a place where those people sail
Who are prepared to face
The wrath of the cruel ocean
And pay proper recognition
To the ones who persevered alone
And fought with the flow
Without knowing the end
For the honour they will lend
That will forever stamp
The glimpse of a tenacious man
In their acclaimed minds
That I still haven't realized
So I will face the plunging waves
And again come out sane and safe
