Analysis of Choices

What I thought about
was madness
as it grew
inside my heart
I knew I had no option
but to plan for my depart.

The shadows of our future
have now become a blur
the choice you made forever
Has hit me like a slur.

This left my life in sorrow
when I realized how it felt
to live a life of loneliness
for that's the cards I'm dealt.

As I think about my future
I cannot see you there
for the choice you made
was final
I'm lost without compare.

I am far beyond a future
that kept you in my life
Giving up the option
to soon become your wife.

What I'll miss the most
is having my best friend.
But we all know the truth
one will find that pace again..

I've been lost inside a capsule
from a past,
I can't ignore
finally,
I will get a chance to see
how I can soar.

Knowing I am truly free
to be the one
I'm meant to be
This is my chance
I must pick me

I can see my future
with the healing of the past
I won't live in tomorrow
for today is how I fast.
