Analysis of No amount of sleep can fix it
No amount of sleep can fix it
I fight with my face
Trying to force my eyes open
And my chin up
No amount of sleep can fix it
I fight with my mind
Trying to keep myself present
And my head clear
No amount of sleep can fix it
I fight with my conscious
Trying to stay above the waves
Of overwhelming guilt
No amount of sleep can fix it
I fight with my guilt
Trying to appreciate all that makes life worth living
Without feeling like my existence is a stain on it
No amount of sleep can fix it
I fight with all of it
Trying to remember how to not be tired
Like remembering a song you forgot doesn't exist

About this poem
This is a poem I wrote while working the night shift. Its about the feelings I have when I find myself in silence, surround by nothing but my own thoughts.
