Analysis of (Don't) Look At The Sun
Don't stay outside in the sun too long
or you get burned. Says my mother.
Don't stare at the sun too long or you
go blind. Says my father.
But, how can I go blind of the things I
see before me. Staring at the sun's
light being dragged by its vortex.
I can not look away like a mosquito to
a flame. I can not turn away. Being
consumed in the sun's glare. Look
through the open portal in the sky.
A light so immaculate.
The invisible man's shadow can be seen.
See the eruption of the sun's core.
The undying red sea, The phoenixes lair,
The red blooded dragons home that
whips it's tail.
Don't look at the sun. I can not stray
away. Colors dissolve, and fade away
trees turn to black and white.
No difference, no shade. Traffic lights
are more transparent.
Don't look at the sun but, see. All the
wonders before me.
The undying star, The light of hope, The
fiery planet that burns the eternal flame.
Don't look at the sun I cannot blame.
The mystery the burns each day. I feel the warmth of the sun upon my face. Look at
the sun that sets on the west.
Where in the east is where it nests. To
light your way to your home at the end
of day. Each time you stare at that fiery orb.

About this poem
I wrote this poem just the other day while riding my bike. Just a gorgeous sunny day. I remember something I used to do when I was a kid. Which was stare at the sun. Hope no one goes blind.
