Analysis of The Weight Upon Me
Lack of friends, lack of happiness,
How can I keep smiling,
When my burden is much to carry?
I shoulder the burdens of others,
So they don't struggle as much as me,
But is it truly right to help them,
When they can barely see,
The weight upon me?
I hide my troubles with a smile,
But all the while,
I'm laughed at, cut down,
And practically walked on by those I trust.
If I'm supposed to be a winner,
Why is the one I'd take a bullet for,
Often the one behind the trigger?
