A Blemished World

Free verse
The world around me,
A silent symphony
With no possible comprehension.

Chaos and peace,
Switching like day and night,
Faded seams between the fabric of the two,
Lowering cognizance,
And blinding the spirit.


Loss of morality,
No path to follow,
The world goes astray,
True torment now unleashed,
And only a small, flickering dot of light remains.
