Analysis of The door

Nothing affects me
Because I built walls
Because of what happened
When I was young
I built walls
So I could survive
And nothing would hurt me
No anguish
No depression
No anxiety
No fear
No grief
But I never realized that that numbed me to other things as well
Complete happiness
Utter joy
True love
So I tore them all down
All of my walls
And opened myself up to it all
And found something with someone
And I felt complete happiness
Utter joy
And the truest of love
But out they went
Left because it wasn’t worth it to stay
And with them left all those great things
That came when the walls came down
And all I was left with
Was the grief, anxiety, depression, and anguish
I help out for those great things, and for them as well
But neither ever came back
And so I I sat with all the negative emotions around me
Until I had enough
And rebuilt my walls
Where I didn’t get effected by any of it
Except loneliness
As I missed that happiness
But I didn’t know if I would survive without my walls
So I decided
I would just build a door
