I grew up in the Bronx and my dad was an abusive alcoholic that caused our family a lot of pain. I began to write poems to express my pain and most of all my healing from the pain. I continue to live in the neighborhood where I grew up. My father is deceased by before he died he gave his life to God and he made peace with his family.
