I am a Mother, I am a wife, and I am an Alcoholic with over two years sober today. I wrote this poem during my last stay in a detox center over two years ago. Today, I am grateful for my family, my sobriety, and above all else, my life. And, my life started within the walls of Alcoholics Anonymous.
