Oscar Berry (he/they) is a 15-year-old poem enthusiast with a love for writing. He is thinking of pursuing a career in writing while still planning on going to cosmetology school. He hopes to continue writing no matter what path he chooses to go down. He enjoys reciting his poems, ever since he won his first poetry contest he's gained the confidence to be more open about his work in hope for recognition. "I want people to resonate with my poems while also giving the reader the freedom of interpretation. This allows you to see what kind of person you or someone else is. It's quite interesting. I want people who read my poems to not just connect with it but also think about it, taking the time to contemplate the meanings. Every syllable is important, every placement serves a purpose, and every word has its meaning. When I make grammatical mistakes, there's a chance that's the way it's supposed to be, but don't forget I'm also human. So there's also a chance it was a genuine mistake, but if there's meaning found in that simple slip-up, then I'm happy with it." (Please note that due to legal reasons, if for any reason money is sent to this person, address it under the name of Oriana Berry)
