As something truly grotesque
Slithers after you
ELDER GODS APPROACH (14/05/2021)
Troubling images
From some Lovecratean world,
Elder Gods approach.
THE EYES HAVE IT
Corpses without eyes
Slimy, pink-white worms wriggling,
In their eye sockets.
FACES AT THE WINDOW
Swine-like squeals made by
Foul, inhuman creatures,
Peering through your window.
FEARFUL ALLUSIONS
Fearful allusions
Dark figures motivated,
By inhuman lusts.
THE FEARFUL LIFE
Death holds no terror
Failure is of no matter,
I fear only life!
FEAR PERSONIFIED
Every nerve end raw
And throbbing from sheer terror,
Fear personified.
THE FURIES
Screeching shrews attack:
Swoop around your face,
Flexing lethal talons.
THE FURY
Night’s dark mantle covers
A raging black fury,
Bearing down on you.
GARGOYLES

On the rooftop (wings folded);
Waiting just for you.

Above your bed (wings beating),
Hidden in the dark.

Out from nearby graveyards,
Terrorise the living.

Iridescent shimmering,
Take whoever will come.
GHOSTLY BLACK FIGURES

Clothed in black with flowing capes,
Weaving taboo lore.
GIANT WINGS
Giant wings stretching
Beating at the sky, ready
To swoop down on you.
GLOOM (20/05/2010)
Gloom pervades the air
An aura of hopelessness,
Darkening your thoughts.

Two glowing red eyes
Burning into your brain,
Calling you to its lair.

Throaty voices murmur
Imitate the living,
Coiling round a grave.
THE GREATEST FEAR (I)
The point at which fear
Could grow no greater;
Every nerve end throbbing.
THE GREAT FLOOD (20/03/2009)
A flood of fear breaks
Over you like an ocean,
Drowning all your hopes.
THE GREAT RAINBOW SNAKE

Coloured like a rainbow
Writhing ’cross the sky.
GRINNING, FLESHLESS SKULLS (I)
Grinning, fleshless skulls
On bones picked clean of meat,
By terrors yet unseen.

A harbinger of
Evil to come: announcing
Your imminent death.
THE HAUNTED NIGHT (I)
A town lost to fear,
Of dark, faceless figures that
Walk the haunted night.
HEADLESS ABOMINATIONS
Headless creatures crouch
In an ancient, sunken crypt,
Hoping prey pass soon.
THE HEART OF THE MATTER (20/03/2009)
Evil surrounding you
The grip of sudden death,
Squeezing at your heart.
HELLSCAPES
A sky that rains blood,
Great billowing walls of flesh:
The landscapes of Hell.
HIS INNERMOST MIND
The pent-up ravings
Of a madman revealing,
His innermost mind.
HORROR SLOWLY HATCHES
Horror slowly hatches
Furtively emerges, to send
Chills through our hearts.

A house of darkness
Where evil creatures wait,
For unwary callers.

Where evil waits within,
For unwary callers.

A house of haunts
With an evil reputation,
Terror lurks within.

Where souls lost to torment,
Walk the eerie darkness.
THE HOUSE OF TERROR
House of terror where
Only fear can flourish, and
Only evil lives.
THE HOUSE OF THUNDER
Thunder clouds gather
Lightning lights up the darkness,
Round a dark old house.
HOWLING IN THE NIGHT
Howling in the dark
Late one lonely night:
A carnivore approaches.
HUGE, MONSTROUS HANDS (15/03/2009)
The cracking of bones
(As fragile as sticks of chalk),
In huge, monstrous hands.

Attractive women
Revealing themselves as fiends,
In human disguise.

And the sounds of the hunted,
But which one are you?

Like a choir from Satan's realm,
Shrilling The Death March.
THE END
