Eye of the Eagle
The distance between the space of who, and the element of awe, determines stance conveying distinction.
My son has eyed an eagle stoically sitting on a long, bare branch.
The constitution of feathers, weightless and transient in nature, frame the world within the revere of flight.
We do not move.
“How can the eagle be so mighty in flight and commanding of those in her sight?”
She patiently sits as she hems in her prey.
“Do not ignore or offer your scent of fear. She seeks to exploit our weakness here.”
He winks at me.
My boy, of 23, can longer resist climbing the tree.
Instinctively, the two have a moment, eye to eye.
The spirit of strength beholden.
