Will There Ever Be A Time Of Peace?

Martin Schimcek 1958 (Texas)

Will, there ever be a time of peace
Where the world outside will need no police?
And children can play safely in their own back yards
With their make-believe tea parties and old maid cards?.

Will, there ever be a time of peace
When Religion and Politics sincerely
Find some common ground?
Are we all losing sight of the Human Race?
Where only a few of us speak up!
And, some of us barely make a sound.

Will, there ever be a time of peace
When two people can express their love freely
Or a pregnant mother can choose to end or save a life
Why can't society just let us all be?.
