Windows
Each edge was rimmed with wooden panels;
painted with a shade of gold
Every square was diligently polished
Letting gleams walked through them
It portrays a perfect little room
With tucked bedsheet,
spotless nightstand,
and labeled drawers
But it caches many corners
A chair topped with dirty laundry,
cracked walls behind the paintings,
and water bottles under the sofa
We built houses with big windows
Only to cover them with blinds
