Evening Wish

I once wished upon a star,
my little wish has come so far,
it stood once by the evening star,
But a wish of course,
much like a dream,
makes its way into reality.
Twas a cold night,
an evening bare,
clouds lined the skies,
the light nowhere.
But one star stood upon the sky,
a tiny glint bright in my eye.
I made my wish right then and there,
never to regret that I dared.
All evening wishes do come true,
as long as love remains for you.
