Nevertheless

I've sinned against God,
And I've had to confess.
But He always forgives me,
Nevertheless.

I've forgotten to pray,
And my life was a mess.
But He didn't forget me,
Nevertheless.

I've done things in life,
That God couldn't bless.
But He welcomed me back,
Nevertheless.

I've known that God loves me,
Though why I can't guess.
But I'm going to Heaven,
Nevertheless.
