No Longer Her
gbl 1981 (Florida)
No longer her
Moving forward into my future
No longer looking back
Trying my best,to move on
Leaving my past,in my past
Always someone reminding me
Of who i use to be
Their eyes are blind
For they refuse to see
That,i am No longer her
and she is no longer me
I am not that same person
I am not,who i use to be
All those years ago
I grew up and matured
Grew up and became a mom
Becoming strong
Learning how to love myself
Forgave all those that caused me pain
Forgave myself, for allowing them to hurt me
I am focusing on my future
Trying not to think about my past
But every so often
Someone has to go back
Back into my past
Reminding me of all the pain and hurt
Remembering all of the tears, bruises and cuts
Wanting to forget
How my mind was set,On giving up
For many times,i did
I almost,gave in
When i didn’t want to live
Wanting to die
Feeling unloved,unwanted
I felt like me being alive was worthless
Back then,my mind was sick
my soul was lost
My heart broken
I had no one to talk to
No one that cared
So i kept to myself
For all of those years
Until one day i had enough
Left my home
Becoming someone else
Started to change for the best
Began making real friends
Real friends that loved and cared for me
Real friends that saw my scars
never asking me how or why?
They just knew,That back then
I use to be sad and lost
And now,i am not
i am no longer that girl
With pain and hate inside her heart
Moving forward,is my main goal
I have two daughters now
That needs their mom whole
So when you see me,You will see
That i am not that sad lost girl
I use to be
I am not her and she is not me
So leave her in the past,
for that is where she is meant to be
