Courage
Poem by :Brian N kelvin
COURAGE
Courage was under siege of Fear ,it was Fear that told Courage he will fall from the heights,he will end like the mist and last a little like the Moon.
Courage approached the Heights and asked,is it true you will allow me fall just like fear said?
The Heights being a Mountain was ashamed, because fear had told him thesame, taunting him every time.
The Mountain summoned Reasoning to the summit, while Courage waited, because he the ''Mountain'' had thoughts of falling before Courage came.He cleared his throat and poke at Reasoning "can you tell us if fear had told the truth"?
"Hmmm", Reasoning quiped ,First let us call all personality to this summit including fear.when fear came he brought with him another personality called Lie who stood to defend him.when reasoning saw him,he requested another personality named ''Truth'' to attend the summit.
Mist and the moon came but Fear and Lie ran out of the meeting because reasoning has brought more personalities to the summit.Courage went out to meet them asking why they left, but Courage was surprised to see Fear ignored his question and wallow in self piety, pain, anguish and murmuring before another personality called ''Tomorrow''who traveled uninvited towards the meeting for so was his nature.
Tomorrow draged Lie and Fear back into the summit, the conference was shocked to see how Fear and Lie had lost their voice while they were trying to talk.It was then Truth made all to understand that fear was actually a novice and afraid of Tomorrow and that he is acting what Lie had told him.
So from that day ,Courage became himself ,had a pact with all personalities except Fear and Lie,and told others to be themselves. ''For,what you are afraid of is also afraid of you''.
