My Flower.

Okapi Strickland 2003 (Gosford)

My heart is a butterfly, for it floats when it sees you.
See you are a flower, a daisy or a rose.
You are sweet like corn syrup.
Yet you don't seem to burn my throat, heart and lungs
As you, it seems, are unable to hurt me
And I in turn shan't ever try to hurt you
See you are a flower, a daisy or a rose
Vibrant as a sinner, yet an angel with words
You make my heart flutter
But don't let it fly away
Because you are my flower
My daisy.
My rose
