Wooing My Muse

Whew, what a scene! My Muse
is mad as hell. It seems
I’ve been a pig, abused,
insulted Her. She screams

“You men are all alike!
You never want my bod-
y, just my mind!” Oh God.
“You ‘Oh God’ me, I’ll strike!

Right now, you chauvinist!”
Hoo boy! To strip my soul
was hard enough, I wist.
But now, to take a roll

in antic hay? I swear,
She’s more than I can bare.
