Winter Solstice

And Time stood still
Where the river flows
As far as the eye could see
Exposing it's breath on the early
Moon, slipping in and out of trees.

Nothing penetrates its wintery
Warmth, dismissing all that's green,
When Capricorn sends a wandering
Flock to a southward scene.

The river gives a tercery glance
On a downwarn stream
Draping mud banks with its frost
layered at its ream.

The wind bursts among the branches
Swirling leaves, rustle sound.
Snowflakes make a proper blanket,
On Birch and Cedar ground.
