Wild Blue Yonder

A child
Let go of his balloon
And watched it float up
Into the wild blue yonder
One moment
Right there, safely in his hand
The red ribbon tied
Snugly around his wrist
But all he can do now
Is look on helplessly
As his precious gift
Gives in to the wind
He begins to cry
In a few days though
All he will do
Is wonder
What wonderful places
His balloon
Might have drifted off to.

Hey, some of these aren't that great but what the heck. I just like writing how I feel in the moment so some of my poems might be confusing because I was confused in that moment. Maybe thats why I wanted to write a poem, to sort out my thoughts. Anyway, just read them and hopefully just one of them will bring you some kind of joy, or make you feel some kind of connection. Peace.>>>I also do star photography - probably why space works its way into a lot of my writing. http://mcb-photography.blogspot.com/ more…
