Voila!
And a dull thud captured the hard moment ~
I thought of wings, sighed while a soft frown crossed
the distance between imagination
and the lack thereof, it was a wonder
I did not explode with all the effort.
To try at least is better than nothing,
and with that firmly placed I dived again,
it did not surprise me in the slightest
that another thud was the reward gained.
I took a jab at freedom's expression,
buckled myself to flights of mad fancy.
Voila! I realised I really could fly,
the mind was in fast motion even though
my body struggled to keep up with it.
Still, being crazy, I dived once more to
the clouds and was slapped by the ground's laughter.
I folded my feathers while aches gathered pains,
time to go to the realms of quiet sleep,
where I would not crash and burn when I jumped.
