Transformed

Darkness clouded every area of my mind
Sickness on one side and grief on the other
Looked for a way out, a place to escape
Listened for a clue but heard nothing
Wandered around tried to figure things out
Flashes of memories floated all around
Searched for a door that could not be found
Somewhere out there was a light but where
Rolled over, closed my eyes to drift away
Thought about all the teachings of yesterday
Tried to pull together one sensible thought
Realized my mind suffered a terrible loss
Not ready to give up and stop trying
Pulled the pages together inside of me
Checked out the thoughts near and far
The secret was there and needed to be found
Started roaming through the darkness
Pushed away worry, sorrow, pain and doubt
Light slowly appeared and erased the void
Took on the mind of Jesus and was transformed
