Time-Keeper Woes

To that most hostile keeper of time,
pirate proud, who takes from the rich.
They who die like fat n' curry in lyme,
say your's, are the ways of a 'b*tch'.

To the thief of second's chance,
who giveth the hours long to labor.
Rotten you will come in gleeful dance,
to cheat the poor's, poorer neighbor.

To the patron of the midnight hour,
who frightens the children in dream.
And those who keep to warm the fire,
your wont to douse and suffer in steam.

Take your time, listen well, now to me,
take self to a nearest black or wormhole,
Deposit time-keeping ware's near to thee,
eat your fill, till death, that glutton bowl.

I'm keeping my own time from now on,
free time, play time, good time, for all time,
for all us out of time, sometimes gone,
because there's enough everytime!

Tracy Bollinger

Always liked to write and have written poems periodically over the years. I've never shared them withanyone except for immediate family. Decided to take the plunge and put some out 'there'. But bearwith me, I don't really know what I'm doing. This is therapy of sorts and I hope to let go of the need to rhyme. It's a mental condition. I recently found out my grandmother used to rhyme all herletters to anyone. Go figure. I hope you all enjoy my ranting! I do like what I've seen other's post. more…
