Things are not going as i planned
I don't understand
i had it all laid out, A-Z
but some where around F it fell apart you see
now i am left with a bitter taste in my mouth
as every thing goes south
i pray and relinquish my control
because this is not mine anyway
it is his job to save the day
I save nothing.

So as much as it hurts to step aside
I know in him i can confide
and find my peace and grace
the comfort that helps me face
the reality i must embrace.
If we are to win
it will only be through him.

so I'll continue to pray
with you on my heart.
and him in control

not to gain any prize
because wealth is superficial in my eyes
but because you are my friend.
