Think About This

THINK ABOUT THIS?
Write with vision consider the spoken word,
Accept what's factual things seen or heard,
Take the time to ponder about life,
Assess daily activities the positive and strife.

Sunshine and weather the stars and sky,
People and places thoughts that pass by,
Nothing escapes observation or dreaming about things,
There's always fascination that each of these brings.

Today or to morrow they are never the same,
Look very close at each if you're game,
Dissect by time be receptive and fair,
Amazing the discoveries you willingly can share.

Listen to silence and also to sound,
There's a strangeness just waiting to be found,
Birds that sing to chortle and fly,
Traffic and people that hurriedly pass by.

Grass that's green and covered with dew,
Wink and sparkle when they come into view,
Yes the imagination how active and sweet,
Incredible what's conceived its hard to beat.

Whatever you like its yours to find,
Be ever thankful as you casually unwind,
Relax be happy love when you can,

It matter's not the things that you plan.

I have been writing poems for forty years and written about all sorts of things. Somehow I get creating streaks and can write up to 4 or 5 poems at once of varying subjects. I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
