The Piano
Show me the dew from the morning's mist of rain.
It makes me cry, for it beauty is like a baby's lullaby.
Let the flakes of snow keep landing in my hands.
Show me where it sparkles, and lays upon the land.
All as the piano plays...
Show me where the music plays gently, and for miles heard.
Let me taste the blooms of paradise, and paint it against paisley skies.
Let me whisper to open the gates of wild daffodils blowing in the wind.
Show me where to touch it, and let me breathe it all in.
All as the piano plays a symphony...
Let me take a handful of spring to save in a jar.
And let the rain of feathers fill my quill with emotions.
A tear fed rose of enchanting mystique, follows the sky
Until the skies fall down on me, let the ink dry.
And the piano inspires me to write...
Show me a storm, let it have strikes of lightning and lavender clouds.
Let the notes move me, like a song of beating drums.
Show me its colors, and thunder, to be heard out loud.
Let it be the clouds have sliver linings to stir about in swirls.
And the stars with falling embers wisp around forming pearls.
And the piano plays a concerto...
Show me where the winds blow.
One way leads to everything, he says.
My eyes are open to there fullest.
Tears roll down my cheeks.
Heart is full of echo's, soft, and meek.
As the piano plays, "My Sweet Love"...
I will always love you, he says.
Specks of dust still dancing on the monings tide.
After a shower of brief summers rain.
I see all things never remain the same.
And still the piano plays...
