The Gladiator

I do not know anything about poetry. This is the first poem I have made under my own will in my life. I guess poems are stories that rhyme. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I ain't. Please do not rage at my english writing skills. I know that it's not perfect. Eveything I do I get raged on. So I hope I will not offend anyone with my lack of english nor cactuses and aligators. I hope you can enjoy the story. I just found out that this a good way to improvise and write down my feeling. I practise muay thai box, so maybe you can recognizes something out of it. This poem (Ibeleive it's a poem) is a story about a Gladiator which shares some of my feelings.

I used 2 qoutes from a song:

Everlast - Black Jesus: 'They call me white devil, black jesus'                                  .                                         'Heaven closes, hell freezes'

Eminem - Lose Yourself: 'His palms are sweaty'

By the way I recommend you to listen to Everlast. Its good music in my opinion and have amazing lyrics. Song: What's it like, Black Jesus, Today,  are my favorite :P

The Gladiator

They call me white devil and black jesus.

When I step in, heaven closes and hell freezes.

When they hear me, I am groundshaking and brickbreaking.

When they see me, I start slaying and the sinners begin praying.

When I succeed they start kissing and wish me blissing.

But at the end my soul keeps ripping and my thoughts are slipping.

I am an entertainer and a dream retainer.

'You are the best of the best, greatest of the greatest.

All the recruitment from the world did not stop your way less.

We gave you equipment of the highest braveness.

Made out of the thoughest black diamonds, most of you could only dream of this high recognizes.

Yet you only wish to wear a bandana and pants.

As a weapon you use a scimitar in your hands.

You have brought us a lot of entertainment here in Rome.

You will most likely go into history as the most victorious own.

Your skills are beyond practise.

The spirit of a desert cactus.

Kings and queens around the world travel to Rome, just to see your home.

Your first fight you were accompanied with two gladiotors.

You held them back and took care of the others with aligators.

Some say you have a good hearth.

Others say you want to take pride and honour to be smart.

We will not know your reasons of your actions, since you are a man of little words transactions.

You do not prefer to talk to us.

But you definitely have a must.

Your Palms are sweaty.

However you look prepared to be steady.

We think you are ready to confront the mystical creatures.

The one that have been hiding in the forsaken forest behind the bleachers.

The ones that breathe fire out of their eyes.

The ones that will deceive you with the smell of strawberry pies.

The ones that have never been seen.

The ones that have their soul not clean.

You are the one to be your own guide.

You are the one who will find those who hide.

If you succeed to manage the deep price.

We will grant you paradise.

We believe you want to be free.

To go back to your own tree.

If you will finish this quest.

We will bring you back to the ramparts at its best.

After twentyseven years of service now, we will release you free and trust you will not flee.

Come back with the price and your honour will be sized.'

He accepted the quest and went west.

But what they did not know is that the forsaken forest was his nest.

After twentyseven years he finally got blessed.

Extra information about gladiators:

Gladiator comes from the latin word gladius, which means sword. Usually gladiotors were slaves who were brought up in though conditions to entertain the audience and the ceasar in the arena. But sometimes citizens voluntered to become a gladiotor. Gladiotors back then could become famous as Neymar, Ronaldo, Messi etc. are in this present. However the slave gladiotors, regardless how famous they would become, would not have the ability to be free. I believe they were not even aloud to speak to the ceasar. I might be slighlty off on this information, this is what I remember from history class. The movie Gladiator is a really good movie and reccomend you to watch it.

If you are still reading all this, I appreciate it that you took the time. Perhaps you can critcise my poem ( If it is a poem ), so that I can imporve my next one.
