The Eleventh Of September

On the eleventh day of September
in the early morning hours,
Evil struck our Nation
and destroyed The Twin Towers.
The Pentegon was hit also
by the third of four planes,
which were hijacked in our skies
and crashed in a ball of flames
We stared and watched in horror,
with hardly a word to say.
Thinking to ourselves,
This was one of our darkest days.
So many innocent were injured
and many more died.
Realizing what had happend,
we bowed our heads and cried.
We are strong though
and in time we shall rebuild.
Not just to remeber this day
but to honor all those who were killed.
