Curiosity lies dormant in the ignorance parade
The banner of discrepancy succeeds in plots to fade

Lines are growing long against a wall of stolen will
Opinions diagnose themselves as a rapid social ill
Complaisance to the world is promoted as the cure
And the dangerous unique are separated from the pure

Creations of the mind erase themselves from history
The frequent voice of change designates your personality
Children raise themselves before a politician's TV screen
Parents are too busy being briefed on what's obscene

The streets are being cleared of anyone that speaks aloud
Every unfamiliar face has been removed from freedom's crowd
Tomorrow must be empty, today's possessions were retrieved
The past was just a promise, and even those were seized

Somehow people vanished and a maze of clones appeared
The world shook hands with a future so many only feared
Now expression is forbidden when it represents a view
