Survival of the Fittest

I'm a survivor because I made it through
And now I know I can do better for you
I have no regrets anyway
Because it made me what I am today

I look in the mirror
I like what I see
Everything is clearer
To the better one of me

Each little thing that I conquer makes me strong
And I've learned not to dwell on things that are wrong
I struggled through sorrow and pain
And yet I came out on top once again

I look in the mirror
I like what I see
Everything is clearer
To the better one of me

I took responsibility for myself
And then I put the past away on a shelf
Now I think I know what is good
I've come a long way to be understood

Rowine Conley

Writing is not something I do--it's something I am. I have been a wordsmith since before I could write. I have now written 2 novels, 6 children's books, several short stories, and boxes full of poetry. I am now disabled but I still have a day job. I have 7 sisters, a dog and 2 cats (one has only 3 legs), A daughter, numerous "God-daughters", A son, and a few "God-sons". I am Extremely Biblical though I don't really follow organized religion. God is my life and I have truly been blessed-For God By God...Peace Out__Gypsy Row more…
