Sparrows

Gentle little creatures how quick they arrive,
It doesn't take much for them to survive,
A speck here and a seed there,
How they fossick under table or chair.

Perching on bowls to have a drink,
Then they're gone before you can blink,
Instantly back again to search on trees,
I often wonder about what each sees

Cute these birds small and bright,
On the ground or even in flight,
Neat and tidy they make no noise,
How they fascinate little girls and boys.
About this poem;-
These cute birds come and go as
described, they are fascinating to watch

and children  often feed them.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
