Sparks

The magic comes, the magic goes.
Lovers depart and the sun goes cold.
The young and ambitious soon grow old,
Memories of love, never to be told.

The spark in her eyes, a treasure to discover.
I look one way, she looks the other.
Hand in hand, my butterflies flutter.
I question her love, she replies with a stutter.

Others see a rock, I see a jewel.
I look at myself, I see a fool.
Love as wide as the ocean, now but a pool.
