Space filler

You know that feeling?
Lonely, empty, hollow...
We tried to make it last
but our feelings refused to stay.

but hasn't it?
That fateful day lingers in my mind
icy chills, although it was summer.

you picking fresh flowers from the garden for me.

cuddled up next to the fire.
