Soldier of Fortune

Soldier of Fortune
It's like Wheel of Fortune
A game of Russian Roulette
Some die a hero
The others come home with regret
Soldier of Fortune
Put down your weapon and head for the state lines where we first met
Do not ever let your heroic acts seem as though they have gone unheard
For us here in the United States can't wait for you to come home in that big iron bird
We will greet you with hand shakes, hugs, salutes, and flags waving for you are the ones over seas away from your families and babies.
Soldier of Fortune
You have made this country proud
When you get home we will order you another round
and tell you it's ok you are back on hollowed ground
you don't have to jump at every loud out of place sound
