Fear is the weighted drop
You feel in your stomach.
You feel a clump form
In the back of your throat.
Tears kiss your cheeks.
Fear is the feeling
Like there is no way out,
No way if making it better.
It's like you're stuck.
Fear is the constant habit
Of looking over your shoulder,
The anxiety haunts you

Deep within your mind.
Fear is knowing the end is near,
But no matter how fast or far you run
You know it will catch up to you.
